If your site publishes timely articles, you can apply for News inclusion from the Analytics section of Console. Here is what happens next.
1. Discover your feed
Console auto-detects common feed paths like /feed and /rss. You can also paste a custom feed URL.
2. Apply
Submit an application. Our team reviews the feed for quality, originality, and update frequency.
3. Approval
Approved sites get the is_news flag, which prioritizes their articles in the crawl queue and makes them eligible for the Newsroom and news results.
Keep your feed valid XML and update it often — stale feeds are the most common reason for rejection.
